I agree that “Jew-hatred” is a much more direct and honest term for anti-Semitism. However, some “anti-Semitism” today may occur from a disrespect for Israel and its actions/policies, and not just from those who dislike Jews. That distinction should be made, politically-correct or not.
LOL, yes. Dreams have minds of their own, don’t they? My nighttime brain grapples with what it believes my responsibilities are.
Definitely agree that one can be pro-Jewish while not uncritically supporting Israel, but I don’t think the term anti-Semitism is a useful one for making that distinction. It always was sort of an odd-duck term (since Arabs are Semitic, too) at best. Now, knowing its origins, I see how little sense it makes.
