- In Washington state and in Colorado, banks (caught between state opportunity and federal terror tactics) struggle to deal with new cannabis businesses.
- Well, now those who won’t comply with the outrages of I-594 are not just “extremists” (per Gottlieb) but “a clique of gadflies” (per a Gottlieb henchman). Remember people: if you want a seat at the table so you can help Our Masters arrange the terms of our extermination, always comply-comply-comply with the law. Any law. We don’t care what law. It’s the LAW!

“HOUSTON: Armed guards or guard dogs? The answers to those two questions should be no. The state of Washington does not allow an armed guards or guard dogs in any licensed location.”
Ugh, why do people put up with banks at all? Or state regulations like these? I guess you could always lie at the appropriate places, to get the loan. Or get one from the Mafia!
On Germany’s gold, the remelted bars are probably tungsten with a wash of gold outside. That’s the “London good delivery standard” for ya! 🙂
Brian Williams just confirms Bonneau’s Law: The world is 80% bullshit.
Here is an article comparing what happened in Greece to what is about to happen in China. Batten down the hatches, folks.

Totally OT;
Claire, I sure hope you’re keeping safe and dry. I keep seeing news reports of terrible weather and lots of flooding in the Pacific NorhWet with more coming down the pike. Hope to hear that you’re not having too much adventure!
Karen — Thanks for your concern. I was a little concerned, too, when the weatherperson predicted another four pineapple express type storms in a row. But so far, so good. There’s been dry time between each storm, so in most places the flooding and landslide danger is less than it might be otherwise.
With last spring’s Oso landslide still on everybody’s mind (44 dead, I think it ended up being, and months to find all the victims), people are a little extra on edge, I think.
But we’re good right here! And generally having a friendlier winter than some parts of the world!
Thanks for the update, Claire! I’m glad to hear you’re still above water! I had assumed(you know what that means) that you hadn’t floated away since you’re still posting, but it’s nice to know for sure.
