A fascinating article, with a lot of good links. Thanks!
Incidentally, since we’re talking about privacy, I just learned that Kim Dotcom (remember him? He of the file-sharing site which was shut down by the US government which also seized all his NZ assets) has just opened a new and, supposedly, even more secure file-sharing site at https://mega.co.nz. It is claimed that neither he nor his staff has any knowledge of whatever files are stored on their servers. I know no more than this, and I’m certainly not a tech wizard, but this looks interesting.
Laird — Thanks for the heads-up. I didn’t know about that.
Not personally into file sharing but I’m sure glad to see Kim Dotcom coming back after so much abuse-by-government. Will check that out.
