I think she’s lost a lot of the “sour pickle” look. What do you think, ML?

the necklace seems awfully tite around her neck. unless she’s beheaded; or attempted suicide. also the squareness of her chin seems out of place on an otherwise curved figure. not necessarily a bad thing. her rite eye seems lazy. otherwise perfect.

Nice – I like where this is going.

The floor “frames” it well, too – too bad you can’t paint a frame around it.

The new improved eyes make a huge difference. Looking good.

Yes, Kent, noticed that right away. 🙂 I’ll bet it will be a real “conversation piece.” Are you going to enter it in the fair this year, Claire?

KiA — The lazy eye and the tight necklace are “features.” I’m not sure whether the angular chin is a feature or a bug (good observation on your part) and I may soften that a bit.

ML — If I can get transport to take it to the fair, I probably will enter it even if it means putting up with the dragon lady who’s in charge of that section.

Thanks, all, for sharing this with me. It’s much more fun than just noodling with it alone.

Claire, I think you should auction this off, on this site, maybe make enough to fix the xterria?

Actually, Claire, that “lazy eye” effect looks like some bad cataracts. Hope you do something else with the eyes to give them a little life, at least some pupils.

I think the “lazy eye” KiA referred to is the slight droop in “Mo’s” right eyelid. I’m keeping that.

The fact that the eyeballs are just pale blanks at the moment … yeah, that’s a little cataracty. I actually like the look (and take a look at Modigliani’s original — solid, blank, blue where eyes ought to be!). But I agree the eyeballs need a little more detail.

Cat slits might be nice. 🙂

Rose Kelley — That’s a nice thought. I think this piece is too girly to auction to an audience that tends to lean male. But you’ve given me a related idea that I’ll ponder.
