Well dang… I did my best. 🙂 I’ve come to the conclusion that Amazon is entirely too handy sometimes and I’m going to have to be a little more careful for at least a month or so. I used to just live without what can’t be found in town here… but these days I find exactly what I want each time I go to Amazon… and often things I didn’t know I needed! Hardly bother going to town anymore unless I need something immediately or fresh groceries.

Wonder how much longer before Amazon will be delivering the milk and vegetables? LOL

Thanks for your part, MamaLiberty. There were more than enough orders in November to reach that elusive 7.5% level, but in the last few days of the month, they didn’t get processed quite fast enough.

I know what you mean about Amazon! It’s a wonderland of needed (and wanted!) things.

I suspect in Seattle and New York, they’re probably ready to deliver milk and veggies. Heck, they already have “Prime Pantry” for grocery items, just not for perishables.

Seattle and New York, for sure. I suspect it will never reach outback Wyoming. But if we can get rid of some of the nonsense barriers of involuntary government, some folks might once again have the incentive to actually produce milk and vegetables, etc. here. I’d much rather have that than drone delivery of city stuff. 🙂 But drones landing might be a lot of fun anyway. Got to get down to the post box at the end of the road here this afternoon… Amazon says my new winter boots have been delivered. The USPS won’t even bring packages to the door anymore. 🙁

I’m afraid I’m one of those orders that didn’t quite get in in time to make the month. Dagnabit! Haven’t been able to get out much lately and Amazon is such a treat to shop at when I need something. Our little town has a Wal-Mart, which I hate, but real shopping would require a trip to the city to a mall and I’m just too cranky anymore to do that. And Amazon has such good customer service, I don’t know why anyone goes to brick and mortar places anymore.

If I use your Amazon link to go to a site and buy something, and I then go to another spot on the same site and buy a completely different product, will you get credit for the second product?

Shel — As long as you enter Amazon through one of my blog links, anything you buy during that visit will be credited to me. (It’s a wonderful system.) Thanks for asking.

Karen — No worries. Just enjoy your shopping with my thanks. I hope you get yourself some nice treats. You deserve ’em.

    Hello Claire,

Regarding the Amazon link(s), is it not possible to put an Amazon ad link, in a visible spot on your page, so we can easily enter Amazon, anytime, via your website. (Rather than only entering when you link something.) That way you can get the benefits, any/every time we buy on Amazon. That’s how I’ve used it on most other websites, I support. Unless, it’s here, and I’m not seeing it?

Thank you, Donna. It is here, but I think the problem is that people who enter the site via a link to an individual post don’t see it. If you enter via the main blog page (http://www.backwoodshome.com/blogs/ClaireWolfe/) it’s right there below the masthead.

Unfortunately I can’t put it elsewhere on the page because I don’t control the rest of the content. That belongs to BHM. Since they allow me to do Amazon links on their site purely as a favor, I can’t reasonably ask them to push aside any of their own ads to make room for it.

Glad you asked, though. The basic Amazon link is http://www.amazon.com/?tag=livifree07-20, which you can use any time.
