- Uh oh. Those infamous “armed anti-government activists” are at it again. Tsk tsk, says the New York Times. ADDED: For those who have trouble with NYT links, here’s CNN’s take on the protest.
- In the spirit of the holidays, part I: “love” the homeless whether they want your imprisoning love or not. (H/T jc2k in comments)
- In the spirit of the holidays, par II: bleed you, Bill of Rights be damned.
- Microsoft, I do not believe you for one little teeny minute. (H/T 4 2 MJR)
- Nine of the most isolated towns on earth. And sometimes don’t you wish you lived there?
- So you noticed, did you? Hillary Clinton is no freakin’ feminist.
- “The political class breeding itself.” What elites have done to the west. (Liberal viewpoint.)
- New TZP poll asks what are the greatest dangers we face from anti-gunners in 2016.
Trust. Microsoft. I can’t even put the two words in one sentence. _NSAKEY, Win10 spying that has companies refusing to use due to HIPAA (and retrofitting that into Win7/8) and disabling antivirus, Win10 grabbing keys.
Bear, sure you can: “I will never trust Microsoft.” That’s one sentence. 🙂
On a totally unrelated note, I see that Eric S. Raymond has joined the NRA. http://esr.ibiblio.org/?p=6965 (And Claire, you’re mentioned in passing in the comments.)
“I will never tr-tr-trust… M… M..”
Nope. Microsoft is simply incompatible with the concept of “tr-tr..”
See?
Microsoft effort to win back customers and at the same time toady up to the various government agencies is laughable at best. Maybe I am a tinfoil hat kinda guy however I think that none of the operating systems out there are trustworthy not even Linux. All operating systems should be treated as suspect. There are only 2 types of privacy failures, the ones we know about and the ones we don’t.
As far as Clinton goes, it’s rich that she would use the help of her husband, the guy is such a sleaze. After he left office he used to visit the Magna Golf Club in Markham Ontario every 2 or 3 months where he had a private suite. Once there he used to meet with Belinda Stronach who was then a Member of Parliament. This “secret tryst” was widely known by members and employees of the golf club that her father owned. I only knew about it from some friends who worked security there.
If I recall correctly, the NYT condemned the actions of the folks in Athens, Tn. back in 1946. Amazing how a paper has been so consistently biased against individual freedom for so long, yet still brings in enough to keep the lights on.
Lies right out of the gate. If any internet business informs a survailence target they are being watch, people in that business go to jail if the US government is doing it.
The only safety from your own government is to use a server under the jurisdiction of a hostile government. As long as you don’t torque off that government, they don’t care what you do.
