In the matter of Hillary’s criminality … at least they’re being honest about their dishonesty

No prosecution for Hillary for exposing state secrets to casual scrutiny and hackery. But the FBI admits — no, bossman Comey himself states — that if one of us damnable peasants did the same thing, matters would be substantially different.

Although there is evidence of potential violations of the statutes regarding the handling of classified information, our judgment is that no reasonable prosecutor would bring such a case. … Responsible decisions also consider the context of a person’s actions, and how similar situations have been handled in the past. …

To be clear, this is not to suggest that in similar circumstances, a person who engaged in this activity would face no consequences. To the contrary, those individuals are often subject to security or administrative sanctions. But that is not what we are deciding now.

Yeah. Government of the people, by the people, and for the rich, powerful, and scary. So don’t none o’ you little people step out of line, ’cause we’re not even trying to pretend now that you’d get equal treatment under law.

Must admit I also like this part:

I know there will be intense public debate in the wake of this recommendation, as there was throughout this investigation. What I can assure the American people is that this investigation was done competently, honestly, and independently. No outside influence of any kind was brought to bear.

The worse thing about blatant corruption at this level? The disease will absolutely trickle down to all layers and portions of society.
When an individual perceives that he is in a game stacked against him, then ALL manner of behavior becomes justifiable. To include theft, threats of brutal violence and outright killing.

Keeping “State secrets” should, according to El Neil, be the only capital offense. But, yeah, the clearly drawn line between what a politically connected thug like Hillary is allowed to do, and what you or I are allowed to do, is so ludicrous it should snap people out of their delusions. Should…. but it won’t. Obviously.

What I heard him say was this –

We found clear evidence of a crime (gross negligence) in that she was “extremely careless” – the legal definition of same. However, in reality, the case can’t be won, therefore we are not recommending that charges be brought. In other words, “no prosecutor with a brain will bring a case he can’t win” (unless he has a conscience, of course, but we’re dealing with reality here) (In some more other words, “if the case can’t be won, I’m not going to recommend prosecution.”)

If the DOJ waits long enough to decide whether to bring charges, the public outcry will reach a level which will make it hard to do nothing. Of course Lorretta has been promised a job just in case, so ……. Therefore, the recommendation will be accepted quickly.

Why do current events (including the last 8 years) remind me of the Reconstruction after the War of Northern Aggression? Maybe it’s just me.

Chris, actually, I read that a very different way. It may be quite literally true: that this was an inside job from top to bottom.

Certainly he’s being consistent, here, that any consideration of Us The Unwashed played no part of any kind. Not that we didn’t know that already, of course, but still: roger that, Comey. Heard that one loud and clear.

Comey also has that job until 2023, and is very aware of the hell Hillary can and would put him through for at least four of those years.

“I’ll get you, my pretty, and your little pension, too!”

Two hours after his speech Hillary was on Air Force One with Obama who is now free to campaign with her.

Yeah Comey, are you SURE you told NO ONE what your speech was going to be about?

That they lie is not what disgusts me, that they are so bad at it does.

I think I missed the part where HRC at least fessed up to making a mistake and promised not to run the Presidency of the United States on an unsecured server.

    Can someone point that out?

    I believe that:

    1. Rotten has the (lots of) goods on Oslimey.
    2. They will never let Make America Great Again ascend to a position where he can prosecute them – whatever it takes.

Seems to me that the most amazing thing is that there are any ordinary people left who still believe that these cretins and monsters actually have any legitimate authority over them… Very few would put up with this kind of criminal and immoral behavior from their doctors, shop keepers, undertakers, or much of anyone else they depend on. Why is it so different when they behold the obvious and even openly bragged about malfeasance and even capital crimes committed by politicians and bureaucrats?

Comey drops the hot potato, to wash his hands of the dirty business. He knows full well that it is a hot potato, so Lynch won’t pick it up, because she would lose her job. So the net effect is a WHITEWASH.

But, Clinton did not accidentally set up multiple servers to avoid State Department requirements of ‘transparency’. She did that part intentionally, knowing as Secretary that the department’s requirements were that all communications be on secured (by and owned by) State Department servers. THAT PART WAS INTENTIONAL, so Comey is whitewashing the deal. I wonder what it cost the Clintons to buy off Comey? Head of DHS in 2017? How is he going to explain this subterfuge when all the Wikileaks documents are published?

But, there is still the matter of Clinton Foundation corruption and money-laundering…. Perhaps Guccifer and Wikileaks will provide enough evidence for that. I doubt that even the Clintons would want to kill Assange inside the Ecuadorean Embassy in the UK.

Afterthought – does this situation make anybody else think of Gov. Huey Long?

  13. David
    David July 6, 2016 9:21 am

Way later afterthought – Hillary admits to destroying 30,000+ emails that she called personal. But the subject of a criminal isn’t permitted to decide what is or is not evidence – at least a peon like me isn’t. So she has essentially destroyed evidence – another crime in itself. And yet Comey says ‘no evidence of intent’. Maybe he’s not really competent in his job? It sure looks that way now.

Mr. Comey’s remarks, and their import, are utterly transparent. This is the same sort of “listen to what I am saying, -not- the words coming out of my mouth” that one picks up on in the language of apparatchiks and leadership-types from the former Warsaw Pact, and especially through the press. The meaning, the -actual- meaning, is apparent from what is -denied- more than what is -affirmed-. This developed in the cultures within the Communist sphere as a logical side-effect of the populations’ tendency to take official statements and flip them 180 degrees to arrive at a somewhat useful approximation of the truth.

Mr. Comey was not actually -saying- that Commissarina Clinton was innocent or even inculpable, rather that he was not permitted to touch her (reasons left to the reader). Trust me, none of my Czech or Polish friends were surprised by this. Their only shock is that Americans are just now realising all of this.

“No outside influence of any kind was brought to bear.”

That might actually be true, at least in a literal sense. It’s entirely possible that no one had to whisper in his ear for him to figure out what was expected of him. You don’t have to be a weatherman to know which way the wind is blowing. (Where have I heard that before?) I suspect that was the case with Lois Lerner of IRS infamy, and Comey is a lot smarter than she is.

And there’s another factor to consider: Comey is playing a delicate game here. The Clintons are not to be trifled with; there is a very long list of actual dead bodies in their wake (see this: http://etherzone.com/body/). If Comey doesn’t want to be the latest addition to that list I can’t say that I blame him.

@MamaLiberty: Government is a religion. Monkey troop politics has instinctual support in brain firmware. They believe because they are genetically programmed to believe. They can’t be talked out of it, they will never change. Freethinkers who don’t have the political/domestication programming and think through behavioral rules for themselves will never rise above a 1% minority.

What are you willing to do about this? Are you willing to keep 99% of humanity at arm’s length, behind a barrier like crypto so they can’t enforce policy upon you?
