- David Codrea writes the last word on Mike Vanderboegh.
- Clearly, though, we haven’t heard the last word from Mike’s son Matt, who has just proposed a monkeywrenching use for all that hacked DNC contact info. May not be the best use of time, but it’s still interesting thinking.
- Man, now there’s a headline for you: “The SEC has questions about a company with no revenue, $1,000 in the bank, and a $35 billion market cap.”

- Presidential temperament, past and present.
- Fourteen of the most affordable places to retire overseas. Mmmmm. And most of them are warm, besides.
- The Freeholder has some related thoughts for these interesting times.
- And yet another “gun control” researcher makes striking claims, then refuses to share his data or explain his dubious-seeming methodology. Kellermann and Bellesisles move over. Here comes Adam Lankford.
- Finally, your awwwwwww story of the day (from jc2k in comments): Flight attendant adopts dog who wouldn’t stop waiting for her, though she lived half a world away.
Cute dog rescue… bet that was expensive!! Dogs are like that, of course. When we had the kennel, it was incredible sometimes how obvious it was that a bond had formed in the blink of an eye. Especially the children, naturally. We had a runt we knew we’d never sell, and offered it free to a “good home.” No takers for about a week, then one day a lady and her 4 year old daughter came to see him. There was simply no way that girl was leaving without the puppy.
Did you ever read the story about the “puppy size”? http://www.agentz.com/Inspirational/PuppySize.html
I’m not particularly sentimental, but this one made me cry…
Panama is also liberalizing their gun laws, although that’s relative. It’s still not up to US spec there.
My friend Maricarmen in Panama City tells me they’ve been getting a flood of elite Venezuelans lately peeing in the real estate market and driving prices up.
