- If you’ve wondered what would happen if the government banned cash, take a look at India. Right now. (And why is there always somebody who says, “I’m in favor of [this awful thing], if only they would have [committed the outrage in a way that didn’t hurt me so much]”?)
- One more lefty recounts how he and the Democrats screwed up.
- Over at TZP, Y.B. ben Avraham describes a “fixer” — and the insane lengths and costs NYC residents have to go through for self defense in a corrupt political system.
- Hooray. I truly hope this bogus idea of a “sisterhood” of women v*ters bites the dust forever. The idea that a woman should v*te with or for her vagina is as demeaning and infantilizing as it is absurd.
- Speaking of infantilizing, Glenn Harlan Reynolds gives it to the whiners currently stroking puppies and molding Play-Doh on college campuses — and points out that they’re being anything but inclusive.
- Defense Distributed fights back against ITAR curbs on free speech. (H/T YB)
- I watched the comedy documentary Being Canadian over the weekend. Entertaining. But about the only new thing I learned about the country was that they’d had a gigantic maple syrup heist. Srsly. Then I check my news feed this morning and by golly, those sticky criminal masterminds have been found guilty.
- Poor South Island New Zealand. And in photos.
- Sometimes you really don’t want to share the bed.

That dog was hilarious! 🙂
Apart from being “irredeemable bigots” themselves, the Democrats have come to believe that their domination could go on forever, no doubt based on Obama’s “popularity” and the direction he has taken the country. They act as if it’s their “right” to stay in control, as if no other Party or ideology is essential or worth considering.
“In Slate, Michelle Goldberg writes that Hillary’s “victory would have been a sign that the gender hierarchy that has always been fundamental to our society . . . was starting to crumble. It would have meant that men no longer rule.” She laments, “I thought my daughter was not going to be consigned to a lesser life than my son. I no longer do.”
Does this woman think her daughter is going to sit back and wait for others to determine her fate? “To be consigned to a lesser life” means others are in charge, and she seems to think her daughter will accept that as gospel. Give me a break!
Most of what I know aboot Canada, I learned from Bob and Doug McKenzie. Maybe I should watch that.
Beauty, eh?

In India, truck drivers, unable to get cash to continue hauling goods, are abandoning their vehicles mid-trip.
But it’s okay. ‘Cause it’s to end corruption!
Why would anybody (Defense Distributed in this case) ask for permission let alone fight it when it is not granted. Just go underground where you should have started, stayed, and prospered. Ugh. Americans are still too trusting of power.
The India deal is a poorly thought out currency change. The old banknotes are still good, but only at a bank. But it’s not a ban on cash,, which is far more worrisome.
Crisis Hotline: “This is Crisis Hotline. How may we help you?”
Sad Person: “I’m despondent about Trump and want to take a handful of sleeping pills.”
CH: “And you’re having trouble with the child-proof cap?”
That’s funny, Desertrat. I had trouble with the child-proof cap when they first came on the market years ago. My 8-year-old son got it off for me.
The cash crunch in India is heating up.
