Weekend links

  • The fabulous Christina Hoff Sommers on how to make feminism great again — that is, both sensible and good for both women and men.
  • For those who fantasize about living on tropic isles but doubt they can afford it.
  • I like Niall Ferguson. He’s that rare thing, and actually thoughtful thinker. Now he admits he was wrong to oppose the Brexit.
  • This comes from a conservative Christian perspective I don’t share. But David French is right that culture matters to freedom and good governance (whether that be the mythical “good government” or actual self governance).
  • Ain’t gonna happen but given reports like this one banning the TSA and arresting all its thugs, thieves, and sexual predators is a damn good idea.
  • Good luck with this one, too. Ted Cruz and Ron DeSantis plan to introduce a constitutional amendment for term limits.
  • Did not know this: millions of people are willingly paying even more for health insurance and foregoing federal subsidies because Obamacare exchanges offer such crap policies. (Given the colossal cost of insurance, I find it hard to believe millions can even do that.)

#Brexit sure did shock the daylights out of the globalist elitists and now other countries in Europe, including Italy are seriously considering doing the same! Trump’s election was on the same vein, regular folks who voted to reject Obama’s/HRC’s globalism. I approve as I abhor globalism!

So the church youth group looks at their friend, “Tim,” and asks, “What does he need?”
So the government social worker looks at white, male, 18, alcohol abuser “Tim’s” intake form and asks, “How many of our programs does he qualify for?”

    Guess which works.
