After seven years, five of it spent with Assange holed up in the Ecuadorian embassy. Where he still remains because you know the U.S. government is going to do anything it can to get him.
At least Manning is now free.

About time, IMO. The charges sounded fake and made-up, to me, from the git-go.
How odd that the Swedish legal system could put Assange through all that hell, for ‘crimes’ that most lovers would recognize instantly as deserving of a slap, or walking out, but not of police intervention – and yet the nation is full of muslim men raping Swedish women more or less without any efforts to find and incarcerate them.
And oy vey, zounds!, and crikey – Assange failed to be PC and called Manning ‘him’! How dare he? Thirty lashes with a wet noodle.
He is not out of the woods yet. As soon as he set’s foot outside the embassy the Brit cops will grab him for breaching his bail conditions. Once the Brit coppers have him it’s a sure bet they will turn him over the the US so he is still unable to go anywhere.

Will Assange end up like Seth Rich is the biggest question?
