- Politicians break their campaign promises? Oh no! so sue the bastards. (Don’t you wish?)
- No, the WaPo did not give kudos to a militiaman at Charlottesville.
- I always hate it when that happens. Especially when the selfie bullet shatters my mirror.
- Texas cops subject a motorist to an 11-minute roadside vaginal probe. “Bad judgment,” but apparently not the violent rape it would be called if any mere “civilian” did it.
- Will you be looking at birds, bats, and spiders during the big eclipse?
- Whatever you plan to do, be sure to read Dave Barry’s advice first.
- Wisconsin taxpayers are about to be Foxconned by politicians.
- Your grandmother was right; virtue is its own reward.
- Does tough love from Mom produce a better working dog?

My reaction to most of these “studies” is negative, as most seem overkill and usually irrelevant. Individual humans and animals respond in a vast variety of ways to everything, and there simply is no “one size” answer to anything. As an example… the corgi puppy I had 45 years ago was nursed and raised by a cat. She turned out to be a very normally behaving dog… even though she could never figure out why strange cats might be afraid of her… She loved dogs, and was always ready to “mother” any small animal.
As for the eclipse, I expect my dog to respond very little, if any. His reaction to most weather changes is to go outside, poke around (and pee in) his favorite spots, then come back inside and go to bed (after begging for a “cookie.”) He only gets excited when there is enough snow to do his corgi body surfing in it. Very weird… but so far nobody has offered to study it. LOL
From Kit’s article:
it’s also Exhibit A in the neverending case titled “Why You Should Never, Ever, Ever Talk to the Media.”
So true, a rule that we should all follow as the MSM will paint those of us who are freedom lovers and on the right in the worse possible light. The MSM is our enemy!
Oh, jeezus, ANOTHER case of ‘inadequate po-po training’ there in Harris County. Maybe street justice is a better idea than ‘more training’? At least the entire department would learn from one ‘citizen action’ if it were done – and it seems that nobody learns anything from the training they get in cop school.

Ha! 🙂 Good one, Comrade X!
Houston and Harris County have long been known for hostile-attitude cops, going back at least into the 1970s.
I’d sorta planned on flying north to the totality path, but pilot chit-chat indicates that the airways will also be crowded. I’ll stay in the 90% zone and maybe drive around the area, dodging clouds. 🙂
Maybe I’m just not up on the latest fads, but it seems like “selfie” and “bullet” don’t play well together.
The Ghost Company has about a dozen members, he said.
So it’s really a squad, with him as commander, four or five true believers, and six or seven Fed plants.
