    I’d be happy if hotels could figure out that I like to sleep on a super-firm mattress, and not one of those pillow-top monstrosities that are apparently all the rage. If they can’t figure out the simple stuff like that, I doubt they’ll do any better on the frills.

    Get ready for a bunch of news articles about the goodness of NFL players and how they support the common man, veterans, old people, and dogs!

    It is so easy to brainwash the sheep ain’t it!

    Comrade x — For the moment I’m choosing to believe that was a genuine “from the goodness of his heart” story. If I see one or two more like it in the next few weeks, I’ll become as cynical as you are.

    In hotel rooms of the near future, the bed bugs will be trained to give you a massage while you sleep.

    I know Claire being that cynical is not a good way to look at life and I hope I am wrong but I did a quick google (really a duckduckgo, I don’t do google) and came up with this;

    http://www.seahawks.com/news/2017/09/29/seahawks-players-announce-equality-justice-all-action-fund

    Methinks the MSM has an agenda and when given a chance they push it however if anyone; NFL player or otherwise choses to help someone else out of the goodness of their heart they should get credit for it.

    Hum along:

    “Far above Catyuga’s waters, there’s an awful smell;
    Some folks say that it’s a cesspool, others say Cornell.”

    Don’t worry, Comrade X. I can be as cynical as anyone. And that Seahawks “justice fund” definitely triggers both my cynicism and my gag reflex. What self-serving bushwah.

    The Universities really need to be doing more to address ‘Proctyl issues.

    Colin Kaepernick (sp? – I’m not going to look it up) was all the rage with endless stories speculating where he might play next. Even though he seemed to learn nothing about lead balloons after wearing either a Che or Castro T-shirt before a game in Miami. His girlfriend tweeted a picture of Ray Lewis and the Ravens’ owner in the pose of master and slave similar to a couple of movie characters and Kap said nothing. At that very time the Ravens’ hierarchy was discussing potentially hiring him. More recently, Kap has given money to a radical organization whose name mercifully escapes me.

    Michael Bennett, the Seahawks’ defensive end, made a huge deal about having been forcibly detained (for 8 or 9 minutes); police had a report of an active shooter. The police union requested that the NFL investigate Bennett for, in their view, falsifying facts relative to his detention. Goodall blew it off. For good measure, he added an ***kissing statement. None of these “demonstrators” seem to have any concerns about any race other than black. I’ve expended a lot of time following football. I’m quite close (should be closer) to leaving them to their own concussions.

    Just to try to inject a little humor, I’ll note that one of the Vikings’ wide receivers (I think) says he will continue to kneel until Trump apologizes.
