I just took a look this morning and discovered that the discounts have gotten even steeper at the Paladin Press close-out sale. Books are now at 65% off, putting the Bad Attitude Guide to Good Citizenship at $8.05 and The Freedom Outlaw’s Handbook at $12.60.
Equivalent bargains on ALL Paladin books. So get ’em while you can. The last day Paladin will be be selling is November 29, but I would expect many titles to be gone long before then. It’s the end of an era, folks.
Again, NFI to me, except for royalties paid on my own titles. At those prices royalties will be insignificant, but I’d like to see the books sold out rather than tossed out.
Toss out books? YIKES, that’s terrible! Couldn’t they give them away on the last day instead, for the cost of postage? I know, I know… but still. Throw away books?
I don’t actually know what Paladin will do with unsold books, ML. But it is a common practice in the book world to tear the covers off unsold books and dump them.
I know, but it is no more comfortable to contemplate than the deliberate killing of animals in a “shelter.” I’m going to go see if there is some way I can give a few more books a good home… 🙂
Bad Attitude Guide to Good Citizenship won’t be trashed. It is sold out. One less copy of The Freedom Outlaw’s Handbook in their inventory. ‘Tis Coming my way.
Oh, well that’s great to hear on both counts. Thanks for letting me (and everybody else reading this) know, John. And thanks for helping deplete Paladin’s supply. 🙂
Every time I go to that website I buy something, the one good thing about this dark cloud of them going out of business is it’s giving some of us a reason to stock up on the reference material that we needed to.
