I could not make myself sit down at the computer yesterday. At least not long enough to blog anything brilliant. Had Jim Bovard not sent me a couple of links and a laugh, I’d have had nothing but blank pages for you.
I did manage to use My Bad Brain Day to finish applying the tongue-and-groove pine to the ceiling of the bedroom-to-be. Well, mostly finish. Several edge pieces will require tricky cuts; I’ll try those later. Then I’ll turn them over to The Wandering Monk and his friend’s well-equipped shop if I make a mess.
Still, getting that far was something, especially while working sans brain. Looks great, too.
I’m only slightly farther ahead in the brain department today. I need to get back on the promised RebelFire story and I suspect what’s happening is that I’m in one of those seemingly fallow periods that presage a burst of creativity.
We shall see. Whatever’s going on (or not) with the brain, I believe I’ll take the weekend off from blogging and see if anything useful emerges from the fog.
I’ll check in to approve comments, catch email and so on. Otherwise, carry on without me. And a fraylichen Chanukah (or more properly, Chanukah Sameach) to my Jewish friends and Merry Pre-Christmas and Good Yule to ye of other persuasians.

I wear t-shirts that say silly things, and one of my favorites is
“I can’t brain today. I have the dumb.”
Some days you just have to go with the flow. Glad you got the ceiling about done. That doesn’t sound to me like brain dead work. 😉
Yeah.
“…sans brain. Looks great, too.”
If you can just can or box that, and put it out there, Whaa!
“I can’t brain today. I have the dumb.”
Oh, I MUST get me one of those! I’d need to wear it so often it would soon be rags.
