- James Damore (remember him?) has just filed a class-action suit against Google, alleging the company discriminates against conservative white males. That could get interesting.
- I love movies. But I am so freakin’ sick of whiny, hypocritical actresses lamenting how difficult their privileged lives are and congratulating themselves for the “courage” of their #MeTooing and their black gowns on the red carpet that I’m thinking about giving up my Netflix and going cold turkey.
- Oprah Winfrey, champion of women, for president in 2020? She’s gonna have some ‘splainin’ to do.
- In case you didn’t already know it, the NFL boycott is real and significant
- In case you’ve been wondering when is the best time for any given activity.
- A state accidentally legalized prostitution and the results were interesting. (UPDATE: See comment by s.)
- Is Big Brother coming to the blockchain? (Just asking; I don’t know enough about the tech to know how big a danger this is. I’m just grateful for those Bitcoin donations.)
- There’s (yet another) new cryptocurrency in town. This one might just be the ultimate. 🙂 (Via WRSA)
Here, have a dog. With duckies.

The dog and ducks… Im having a mental breakdown – thanks 8-P
“Having a traceable public ledger of every bitcoin transaction ever conducted allows law enforcement to ‘follow the money’ in a way that would never be possible with cash.”
A while back, I pointed out the flaw in letting just anyone mine the blockchain; specifically what happens when a .gov agency with a lot of money and a dedicated server farm started datamining it. The suggestion was not well received, because as I recall, “that’s too computer intensive.”
Bitcoin, perfect NWO one world traceable/taxable/controllable currency.666 on steroids.
Bobcoin,hilarious!
Prostitution- same as war on drugs, just war on we the people.
NFL-Between spit in your face racism, add in CTE brain injury,NFL is done.Im done, for good.
Golden Globes and Oprah-Extreme left wing better quit believing their own press.Rest of America see’s them for what they are.Extremists.
Google Lawsuit-Good,they need to be reigned in,since when does your employer control your politics?Nowadays, way too often unfortunately.

55.99/month buys high speed cable, you get internet, endless media, and landline phone for next to nothing with magicjack which works really well nowadays.I got magicJack for 5 years for 100 dollars, now its 3 years for 90.
Love the dog. 🙂
Fred, being an “extremist” is not the problem. Everyone who carries their principles out in daily life is an extremist of some sort or other. The problem is the lust to control the lives and property of others. That is an evil shared by all politicians and far, far too many others, including “celebrities.”
Fake news. No, Rhode Island Didn’t ‘Accidentally’ Decriminalize Prostitution
The linked 2014 Reason article by Maggie McNeill documents that the RI legislature changed the laws in response to a lawsuit filed by COYOTE.
The article goes on to thoroughly fisk the deeply flawed study by Scott Cunningham. For example, RI changed the law in 1980, but Cunningham claims a decrease in STIs only for the period 2004-2009. It’s simply not plausible that it took 24 years for the law to change the behaviors of prostitutes and clients, and Cunningham offers no explanation (except his convenience) for this obvious cherry picking of data to support his conclusions.
ML,agree.
Better get your Bobcoins now, before they run out! We’ll all be rich!
If you’d proposed Oprah as President 2 years ago, I would have laughed.
Doesn’t sound so improbable now.
If you had proposed Trump at anytime, I would have laughed…
Oprah and Trump: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=SEPs17_AkTI
Shel – Sounds good, doesn’t he? If Trump could stay on that serious track, and stop acting – and talking – like an a$$hole, I’d feel better about him. But he blows it every chance he gets, whether intentionally or not. And it’s not knowing what he really is all about that leaves me cold. It’s bad enough he’s a President running a government, but an unknown quantity in charge of a First World country makes me feel like Chicken Little waiting for the sky to fall.
