employees in the middle of Silicon Valley’s income ladder have been hit hardest as their inflation-adjusted wages declined
They aren’t earning less; their cost of living is rising. It’s California, Duh.

Surprisingly, the UC Santa Cruz study suggests that employment in low wage industries is growing. The share of worker in jobs considered low-wage in 1997 grew 25 percent over the next 20 years, while the percent working in middle- and high-wage jobs declined.
Low-wage jobs are still there because fast-food places, laundries, discount stores, etc., are still there. Businesses with middle/high wage jobs are relocating to Texas. Surprise?

Anybody doing genomes on the cow?

Kevin Reeve is awesome. I’ve had the privilege of taking classes from him.

Followed the “rabbit hole” link (the online history that NY may require to certify that you’re a good enough boy or girl to buy a gun). Read this:

Or My Little Pony and brony sites; that might be worse.

And I had to wonder: what in the world is a “brony site/” Thought about looking it up. Then stopped and said to myself, “there’s a really good chance that you don’t want to know.”

As I continue to age, I think I’ll be choosing not to learn some things.

Trust me, James; “brony” is a good first thing not to know.
