    I’ve seen “forgiveness” being used as weapon too often. A person in my family (always the same one) will do something, sometimes just thoughtless and sometimes cruel. Then if you dare to express displeasure about it, he’ll whine and grovel and scream “can you ever forgiiiiiiiive meeee?” and if you don’t say yes fast enough, he will spend weeks telling everyone what a hateful and angry person you are. If you do say yes, then you have no right feeling anything other than happiness, and he will go on doing the same thing that hurt you in the first place.

    It’s gotten to where even the subject of forgiveness pisses me off.

    That said, there are things that are petty enough that holding on to them is only punishing yourself. I’m not talking about those cases.

    A close cousin to weaponizing forgiveness is the “magic apology” those people who believe they can do anything as long as they say “sorry”

    Never fire a warning shot or a shot to wound. Period. Center of mass. If you really need to shoot, you won’t be able to do better than that, unless you’re combat trained and experienced. If queried, you shot to stop the attack.

    Anybody else notice that the seven states where the dollar is worth the least are the seven states with the most gun control? I’m sure it’s just a coincidence.

    Next time he should think twice before charging bears.

    Forgiveness:
    I’m not perfect. I’ve been forgiven when I didn’t deserve it, therefore;
    Sure, I’ll forgive people who wrong me, even those who do so deliberately. But forgiveness doesn’t mean I’ll put myself in a position where they can betray my trust again.
    Hate the sin, love the sinner.

    Thanks for posting the link to the dog worm med cancer cure. I wasn’t aware of that. Something to keep in mind if, God forbid, I get it. And the family history isn’t good on that point. And I would not use conventional treatments.
