Wow. That’s some of the most endearing news I’ve seen in a while.
“The NRA said the election sent a clear message to lawmakers that they should protect gun rights and be accountable to their constituents, not to “anti-gun billionaires” — a swipe against New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg, who supported Giron and Morse.” Ha.

Ya. Great news. Glad Bloomy was slapped down.
Now repeal the damned laws those treasonous muckspouts passed, and I’ll begin to actually nurture some hint of hope !

Woo-woo! Looks like antigun bills are a mistake in the West, where lots of Dems and liberals have guns. This will set the bastards back!
This is what happens when government tries to take away peoples rights. Americans are getting fed up with the statists. The people of Colorado have a long way to go to get the new anti-gun laws overturned, but this was a fine start.

I’m proud of em….for a while I was worried the place was lost to the libs…next year will be the real test, that and if they get the stupid laws off the books. The laws are still there even if the recalls worked.

Sorry, looks like TN and I posted at the same time. LOL.
And, there’s at least one lawsuit proceeding here in rainy* Colorado. Not sure the scope of it. And yeah, I have the notion in my head that maybe there’s a smidge of hope for repeal. I think there’s also an initiative effort going for an amendment to the state constitution on gun rights. And then there’s the North Colorado thing happening too. I’ll be surprised if that actually succeeds.
*Seriously — we’re having an Oregon week here.

My first thought when I heard about the North(east) Colorado talk was they have it all backwards – Denver needs to break away from the rest of the state, not bits and pieces of rural CO splitting off. But that was half joking, since I know very well that Aspen, Vail and Telluride would fit right in with Denver. It has been over a decade since I studied up on the water situation there, but I wonder if the new state would be stranded without the mountain water (?). Or with that usage charge they’d be burdened with. (I’m only slightly familiar with the Nebraska/WY aquifer situation, and where that actually goes to). All the other politics aside, the water rights in CO is always a big deal no matter what section of the state.

So now here is where the NRA starts pounding their chest saying it was all them & now they can start the under the table deals. Lobbyists . . . . almost as bad as the political scum they corrupt. Still good news. 2 down a few million to go.

Here’s a funny:

Oh, that IS funny.
Say, this local government stuff seems to work much better than Consolidated Fed. Can’t we break that up under some sort of monopoly laws?
It’s the only “political news” I have enjoyed in years. If I still lived there, I’d still be ignoring the “laws” until they repealed them.
Win some, lose some, though:

Maybe that’ll get the Jefferson State folks back on track.
<a href="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v99/smallestminority/war_is_cool-2.jpg"Related funny, in case anyone has missed it.
