While I’m working on something, here’s some cheer

I’m working on one of those Big Idea blogs. Not sure how long it’ll take to bring form out of the void. In the meantime, here’s some cheer. All these are related to the piece I’m working on.

The first three images I stole from Ragnar’s Freedom Outlaw page — the only thing on Facebook worth bothering with.

Next, here’s one from Random Acts of Patriotism. I never visited that site before, so I can’t vouch for its POV. But it did win my favor by linking to this article noting that v*ters have a higher opinion of hemorrhoids than Congress. (See, not all v*ters are stupid.) Anyhow, I grabbed this from there:

And finally, here’s a report from old online friend Shorty Dawkins (now of Oath Keepers) about the weekend’s takedown of Obama’s Barrycades in DC. Got some good pix there, including this one:

Almost makes me wish I’d been there …

That Camus quote is one of my “life” quotes.

The others are good as well, thanks.

“Return To Sender” is not just about a fence, but about government itself. Well-kept lawns and beautiful buildings do not make a lawed-and-ordered world. Where are the people? They are what a civilized society is about.

BTW where was our fearless leader during all the rebellion this weekend? One can only speculate…

    Love the Camus quote.

    Today’s tyrannies
    have perfected themselves;
    they tolerate neither
    silence nor neutrality.
    One must proclaim oneself,
    for or against.
    Well, in that case,
    I am against.

Note to self: must read more Camus.

    Thanks for the quotes.

Interesting all the civil disobedience that’s taking place… and not getting much play on the mainstream… and it’s most amusing that when it does get some play they reporters are always indignant. I’m a guy who usually listens to my gut… and Obama scares the hell out of me… but this little voice in my head tells me there’s things going on, stuff that’s out of sight, but none the less out of control. Exciting times!

Thanks for the mention Claire! Trying to gather up the Freedom Monkey™, my resident Photoshop expert, to do some Claire Wolfe quotes. I just have to come up with worthy background ideas. The monkey is the guru but I have to play producer. All of the pictures lately have been sent in by friends of the page or dug up on the interwebz…

Since I pulled gimmick infringement and borrowed the Freedom Outlaw name… You should know that I often ask myself… “Would Claire Wolfe approve of this post?” But then I just think “heck, no one’s gonna see this anyway” and mask my approval anxiety with copious amounts of vodka. Cheers!

Reading the second paragraph of Ragnar’s post brought to mind bad memories of the “WWJD?” bracelet fad. As I recall, only 1 or 2 people that I knew who wore such actually asked if Jesus would approve; the rest, well let’s not dwell on the negative.

Having said that, when will I be able to order the “WWCWD?” rifle sling? Or even better, combination front and rear sites that read the same rear site to barrel end?

wrsa — Was that YOU who came up with the sign? Who knew? Well, it was brilliant. And could easily become a meme for all sorts of in-kind resistance.
