Hey, state-level politics is the only thing that’s kept gun owners out of the gulags for decades now, so who are we to turn our noses up at it?
And every time I catch myself violating my own “no politics” principle, I just remind myself that the worst atrocities in human history were all carried out in the name of philosophical purity, so maybe too much purity isn’t a good thing. đŸ™‚
The U.S. Civil War pitted 11 states of the Confederacy against the other 23 states.
Last year 6 states passed more gun control, as opposed to 30 states which passed gun rights legislation.
The odds are certainly better.
Fragmentation of power as written into the Constitution seems stubbornly unwilling to go gentle into that dark night.
