I remember looking forward to Colonel Cooper’s articles. Thanks for the reminder. Reminded me to mirror them, too. See my home page.

Col. Jeff Cooper, gone these many years but never forgotten. His books and these commentaries are fondly remembered and, like Heinlein, reread on the occasions where my moral compass has trouble finding true north.

    Thank you for posting this.

I still have a brief signed note from the good colonel in my pile of important papers. I had written him a fan letter years ago and he was kind enough to reply. Still one of my prized possessions.

Always a good resource to have at hand. Imperfect as he may have been (and it’s true, he was), I still say that after my parents, Jeff Cooper has been the single biggest influence in my life. (Even saved it, more than once, with what he taught me or inspired me to teach myself.)

And I only met him once. Got to have breakfast with him and Janelle after a “Friends of the NRA” meeting in Denver. Such a little thing, and yet enormous.

    Miss having him around.
