- Eric Holder,
peacemakerpatron saint of violent cops. - Failed rescue of Foley. Seems Obama is even more like Carter than it appeared.
- An Ayn Rand dollar?
- Smart homes are stupid. Maybe it’s only because the tech is new and just developing. Maybe … some of it’s actually stupid. (Not to mention intrusive and insanely insecure.)
- I have no idea whether the cop in the Ferguson shooting was justified or not. This cop in Ferguson should be busted below the level of janitor. UPDATE: He has at least been taken off duty. It’s a start.
- This authoritarian creepazoid judge in Maryland, too.
- And beware of this guy and his thousands of thinkalikes.
- But here’s some good cheer about everyday wonders from Cornered Cat: “Illuminating.”
- It’s also encouraging that the Shaneen Allen defense fund is doing very, very well. (Via this article by Will Grigg)

No, that cop should go to prison for felony assault. That’s what would happen to us if we did what he did with his rifle.. But we have rules for them and rules for us.
YaM — You’re absolutely right.
Save Ayn Rand’s image for a dollar that actually contains precious metal.
Putting her image on fiat currency is an insult.
In fact, I’d be tempted to commision a run of 1 oz silver rounds with her face on it, or maybe try to enviegle the US Treasury into altering the $1 silver coin.
I suspect that the biggest reason rescue attempts aren’t going to be successful is that no one will give us information anymore. Carter stopped our people from dealing with questionable characters; and now under BHO our enemies don’t fear us and our friends don’t trust us, as the saying goes. The Pakistani doctor who helped us collect DNA samples of Bin Laden’s relatives is doing 33 years in prison. Some thanks that is.
Excellent police articles.
About this tech home thing…. Personally I have come to believe technology has been the root of some of our societal problems. With that type of tech people no longer have to think, much less be responsible for their actions. For that matter I really believe most of those that love tech are in reality brain dead. Never ever have I met or known a techy that had any idea as to what situational awareness was or meant. Neither have i met any that were “handy” with their hands as in carpentry and things of that nature.
A refrigerator you can tweet from? Sounds like the 21st century version of cocaine: God’s way of telling you that you make too much money.
And that Maryland judge should be horsewhipped. Sometimes the old ways really are the best.
Shel:
The problem is a complete lack of security inside the Obama administration.
An attempt to rescue the doctor in Pakistan ( who help us identify Bin Laden ) was scotched when his location was changed … immediately after the plan was submittted to the current administration for approval.
This is what happens when your administration is full of unvetted kiddies.
