“Thank goodness he used an eco-friendly axe to chop off Little Red’s head. I’d hate to see the good-guys polluting the air with those assault rifles. That’s why guns are bad right, they pollute the air??? I certainly hope the axe was made with eco-self-sustaining wood and that the Earth wasn’t oppressed when the iron for the steel was taken.” –The Left

Gotta love some sarcasm to get through the Thursday morning.

I feel victimized by not having been warned I would be subjected to such violence. I can feel the pain and suffering of those flowers and fruit trees exploited for their reproductive efforts for the making of this…story.

Maybe later. My head was exploding by the third “But Mother.”

Or one of those horribly noisy and air-polluting woodchippers folks are blogging over.

    Speaking of guns, there’s this:
Black Friday breaks record with 185K gun background checks

    And:
Obama Signs NDAA Bill To Allow Sale of Surplus 1911 Pistols to Public

OTOH CMP is begging, “Don’t call until we get things figured out.” So probably not in time for this Christmas. According to NRA the same act authorizes commanders to authorize soldiers to carry on base, sorta.

So, lumps of coal in gun-control stockings. 🙂

LarryA, I saw that article about the FedGov preparing to sell off surplus 1911s. Nice. Any thoughts on how to find out when they actually go on sale?

I also enjoy the fact that there are bills pending in both the Senate and House to legalize suppressors (the bills call them “silencers”). Both bills are pending in committee, and their future seems doubtful, but at least there is some movement in the right direction. The House version is HR 3799, and (amusingly) it’s called the “Hearing Protection Act of 2015”. Hey, whatever works, right?
