WRT The Despair Election:
“There is nothing like a good shock of pain for dissolving certain kinds of magic.”
The irony, it burns.
The DEA et al might not be able to spend money for enforcement of anti-maryjane laws, but that doesn’t make pot legal. BATFE can still keep pot users from buying firearms.
From the Despair Election:
“In fact, I doubt we any longer possess enough of a ‘civilization’ to understand what a ‘civilizational crisis’ would really mean. We would not see it as a crisis of soul, but a crisis of management, in other words, another technical problem to be solved.”
“Solved,” meaning “controlled.” He’s right; and even in the act of controlling, neither candidate knows how to properly conduct or control themselves to bring about civilized change.
“Civilized:” (from Dictonary.com
http://www.dictionary.com/browse/civilized)
adjective
1. having an advanced or humane culture, society, etc.
2. polite; well-bred; refined.
3. of or relating to civilized people:
The civilized world must fight ignorance.
4. easy to manage or control; well organized or ordered:
The car is quiet and civilized, even in sharp turns.
Polls aren’t reliable because of people like me. If they ever asked me I would just say whatever felt right at the moment, depending on how manipulated I felt due to their wording of the question. Giving a truthful answer might occur to me, briefly.
The leaf blower dogs… that little beagle near the end, sniffing the big dog like “What does retarded smell like? Oh…”
Fascism: He who defines the debate controls the debate.
The one element repeatedly left out of the discussion of Fascism is the unity of political power and industrial power. You can tell a Fascist by how the industry and media respond to the Fascist.
All you have to do to figure which person or which party is Fascist is to see who the Billionaires are supporting and who the media protecting.
Yup, we have a Fascist running for President all right. And as awful as she is, she is doing an excellent job of getting elected, even though she ought to be under indictment or in jail with her husband.
