The best SuperBowl commercial?

I didn’t watch the SuperBowl. Sounds as if it was a whopper of a game. But Atlanta and the Patriots? Yawn.

Did watch a few SB commerercials, though, and it looks like a rather dull year for that. Too much preaching. Too little humor. And lame humor at that. (The ghost of Spuds MacKenzie? Cute thought, but meh. Would have worked better as a Christmas commercial, and ya know, Budweiser, there’s really good technology available that makes it look as if animals are really talking.)

Here’s the best I’ve seen (this is the long version; I gather a much shorter version actually aired). Very funny.

It’s NOTFUNNY for these folks, who have “decoded” the avocado ad:

The avocado company Avocados From Mexico published their superbowl ad which shows openly masonic symbolism along with more hiding of truths in plain sight. It is my opinion, that such a commercial is deliberately using humor to cover up or distract the masses from the truly disturbing truths of our political leaders that came to light in the last few months.

OMG, Larry. Just when you think the Internet can’t get any weirder …

That’s hysterical, Comrade X. I never even thought to watch it because a) Melissa M. and b) save the everything. But it was really clever and funny.

The game itself was pure Americana. Enemy gains advantage. Never give up. Claw back to victory. The Patriots went from Pearl Harbor to Tokyo.

For all that I enjoy “sorta watching” feetsball games, I have found them to be more enjoyable with the sound muted. Don’t have to listen to squeaky-voiced creatures who seem to be paid by the word.

Ads? That’s break time for coffee or a beer or a bathroom run or to grab a dish of nice-cream. What few ads I’ve seen, these recent decades, rarely if ever tout for anything of interest to me.

The Melissa McCarthy “ecowarrior” one was my favorite, but the “secret society” one was a close runner-up. I hadn’t seen the long version before; thanks for posting it!

I thought that bringing back the ghost of Spuds McKenzie was truly scraping the bottom of the barrel. A total waste.

Larryarnold, some people have no sense of humor, and seem to find joy only in taking offense at the most innocuous things. Frankly, getting under their skin makes it that much more enjoyable for me! But then I’m a bad person.

    No Clydesdales, no good.

I must agree, coloradohermit. No Clydesdales and no Dalmations is a very bad thing.

I haven’t watched ’em all, so I’m still holding out hope there was at least a Dalmation somewhere.
