An inspiring piece and well done. I have always been uncomfortable with the term survivalist. Perhaps it’s because of the people I know who describe themselves as one. Most people who assign that label to themselves are really pack rats who concentrate more on stuff than on skills. Long ago an acquaintance told me that “the only security you have is between your ears.” That simple advice had a profound effect on me and I have never lost sight of its simple wisdom. I really like the term thrivalist. Thanks for posting that.
