Sorry for the delayed posting. And for going Full Political yesterday. (You never go full political.) You know how us junkies are. I even watched a half hour of last night’s debate. Hadn’t done anything like that in years, but Kit Perez was LiveGabbing it so entertainingly over at Gab.ai that I had to see for myself. I thought I could just … have a taste, you know? Just one little taste. Afterward I needed to detox. —– I thought Trump did well in the bit I watched. But Hillary did a better job: outwitting him, out-talking him, and sneakily…
OMG, it’s an all-politics links day. Avoid if you’re already overdosed. But what can I say? The election is a trainwreck that’s impossible to look away from. These people are “better” than entire herds of Kardashian-Jenners.
- Yesterday, WikiLeaks announced a strange international effort to frame Julian Assange as a pedophile. Now more investigative details have come out and guess who is behind the frame-up?
- Yes, Hillary’s people are so full of sh*t — and happy to dump it anywhere.

I bitch about the man. He is a loathsome toad. But I do understand why people place their hopes in Trump and stand by their views. Especially with more of Hillary’s evil being revealed every moment. And as Vin Suprynowicz reminds us, those Hillarian evils are oozing out despite the media’s most shamelessly shameful efforts. There are still, even in this Augean stable of an election, rare moments of civility between the parties. A cynic might see it as collegiality among rival bands of brigands. Okay, so you achieved “unawareness.” Got a little problem with “compliant” part, though. Hershel Smith…
Over at TZP, there’s a new double poll asking what you all plan to do after the presidential mud fight election is over. On a completely different note: gotta love the NorthWET. Only here could we have a prediction for a day of blazing sunshine … complete with rain. That’s October for ya.
This did not happen in my neighborhood. Nor this. Both did happen in yesterday’s predicted monster storm. But such damage was sporadic, not widespread. I’m still hoping to hear good news from blog readers to the north of Seattle, especially from the couple I know of who enjoy waterfront living. Which may not have been all that enjoyable yesterday. But for a lot of us the storm was … meh. And that’s a good thing. Where I am, it arrived about four hours later than forecast. Unusual, because whatever else does or doesn’t happen, you can often set your watch…
Wild, wild morning. Awoke in the dark to flashes of lightning. A tornado warning had just been issued and, that quickly, canceled. Soon, the phone buzzed with texts from Furrydoc making sure I was okay and all prepped up for what’s to come. (She always worries about me. She actually lives in a more exposed and vulnerable spot than I do, but she has Boy Scouts in the family and a ready bug-out plan.) Both of us have our storm preps pretty much covered. She mentioned filling the empty space in her freezer and fridge with jugs of water; a…
Mostly good news, analysis, or “lite” stuff today.
- She’s yours, women, says Scott Adams. And you can damn well have her.
- You probably heard about Minnesota’s very Dem governor proclaiming ObamaCare no longer affordable. Here’s a bit of analysis on the backstory and why MN may be the first domino to fall.

Sigh. It’s that time of year in the coastal NorthWET. Summer wasn’t sterling. Late August brought early foreshadowings of the rainy season. But on October 1, somebody flipped the rain switch. We actually got a little break from 24-hour-a-day rain this week. Sun yesterday, even. Not until Thursday was the deluge due back — and due in a big, big way. But now Wunderground says forget today. That big solid blue band? That’s something well beyond a few days of unpleasant dog-walking.: For this area, these are big, big rain totals. Unlike what you guys in the semi-tropics or the…
