- I’d call that an offer the fedgov shouldn’t refuse: Assange will agree to be extradited to the U.S. if Manning is freed. Gutsy and honorable play on Assange’s part, too.

- The Russian techie named in this week’s dirty dump says U.S. intelligence (sic) never contacted him. And the former British spy paid (by Dems and anti-Trump Repubicans) to dig up, or make up, the dirty dossier flees in panic.
- I swear I’m not going out of my way to look for articles about amputated limbs. But here’s a case in which a man’s unusual donation came back to help him.

Happy Friday the 13th.
That woman’s “buy nothing” year is a crock. I started reading to learn the answer “what did she eat?” Turns out she ate food she bought.
Actually she bought all sorts of things. She should have called it a “buy no frivolous shit” year. I could get behind that.
Picky, picky, picky, Joel. ๐ Of course you’re right. But the consciousness of “buying no frivolous shit” still remains.
My biggest mind-boggle about her is how much she spends on alleged necessities just so she can live in London.
Me, I like to buy frivolous shit — although in my case that largely means … oh, storage foods, car-safety equipment, warm gear for winter, etc. And what I spend on actual necessities (food, utilities, housing, fuel) would rattle around like pennies within her notion of necessities. I know you grok.
Call me luddite, but I can’t see how FB continues to exist.
If Trump had a shred of honor, he’d pardon Manning, Assange AND Snowden in one swell foop.
I just trying to have one buy nothing day at a time, haven’t gotten to the week milestone yet!
As for Trump IMHO those out of power along with their surrogates in the media will be doing everything and anything to undermine everything and anything he does, even when they agree with him because it really ain’t about left or right but about POWER! What the anti Trumps have going for them is that overall the R’s are chickencrap and will give up their mothers to save themselves so all the anti’s have to do is keep throwing their crap, real or not on the wall until something’s sticks, then the real squawking will begin; like nothing you’ve heard since Watergate methinks!
It is pretty amazing how many wild accusations are flying around even before inauguration. I think the main reasons for hope with Trump, if he isn’t killed, are (1) he isn’t one to give in, (2) he’s obviously very smart, (3) he’s chosen extremely competent people to be around him, and (4) the propaganda machine has a very uphill battle fighting Twitter.
I canโt see how FB continues to exist.
AOL continues to exist.
Democrats just spent eight years disregarding all the poo thrown at President Obama. How can they not understand that the poo they throw at President Trump will be just as disregarded?
I don’t care if Russia did try to hack the DNC, etc. Securing your computers is your responsibility, not Putin’s. I hope Trump is reasonably friendly. The alternative was Clinton, and now is not the time to needlessly poke the Bear with sharp sticks.
I’d be happy to do less multitasking, if tasks would quit multiplying.
I for one welcome our new Russian overlords.
Facebook continues to exist because nobody has come up with a better alternative yet. As soon as someone does, it will be forgotten faster than you can say “MySpace.”
Another reason not to count on 911. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-4091900/Researchers-reveal-hackers-make-impossible-call-911-terror-attack-Claims-technique-block-calls-emergency-services.html
The problem with the 911 system here, and possibly in most rural areas, is that the “operator” isn’t anywhere near you. They will be friendly and as helpful as they can be, likely, but they don’t know you or your surroundings. Their physical presence may be many hundreds, maybe thousands of miles away. I’m more concerned about that than any “hacking.” I mean… if I ever actually thought I needed to call them. ๐
