    “part back-of-the-bus window-licker”

Must be a Brit thing; I never heard it before. But I must admit that official Lego description does sound like that’s how they meant it. I suppose it was to deflect people from the obvious that Turg is really part of their new porn collection.

Lego porn. OMG, the mind boggles.

For the record, if “window licker” really does imply what the article says, then Lego was certainly dumb to use the term and this is a case where some outrage fits.

But lordy, are we ever surrounded by outrage excess these days. Everybody is officially outraged by every darned thing anybody else does. (At least according to the media.)

It turns out that Lego porn is a thing. [NESFW]

I’m coining a new term: Outrage Excess Syndrome. Don’t ever expect to find it in the DSM, though. I think there’s a core of would-be ‘leaders’ who need to turn people to outrage. They can’t afford to let me be amused by, or simply ridicule, that which they dislike…

because they know they’ll be in that category when they seize power.

    Stalin would have approved.

I suspect ordinary folks are not actually outraged by these various microaggressions (if I have my jargon right). It’s just the chattering classes who have nothing substantive to write or talk about.

@Bear: Not sure it’s a British thing; old joke which I won’t repeat, making fun of the intellectually disabled. I’m severely tempted to buy that Lego item. It’s amazing what has become of Lego. When I was a kid, you had to build stuff from your imagination; bricks were what you had. And of course, rule 34.

So grain is paleo after all. Can’t say I’m surprised. I’m not giving up my morning rice & lentils or quinoi any time soon. Nor my lunchtime sandwich. But then, I don’t eat meat, only occasional fish.

    Warning to all:
Don’t ever say the short-bus kids are window-lickers. Somebody might get upset!

    (oops)
