I suspect that will always be the very nature of technology… what one person can think up, another can think of a way to get around it. So I chuckle a bit when people scream and pull out their hair in fear of some technology or another, fearing it for whatever reason and insisting that it will lead to doom… but it never actually does.
I understand that Facebook is a business and as a business they have to make some coin. Having said that I also understand there are limits to what one will put up with. There are some who don’t care about these ads, I’m not one of them. The thought of being told what I will see without any options, I find offensive.
But b@cef00k claims to have worked around it already.
I admit to a certain amusement at this.
Sure. And the next move is that AdBlock Plus works around FB’s workaround. Then FB … and well, you know.
Just as ABP wrote the other day, it’s a cat-n-mouse game.

Regardless of whatever workaround is done on whatever side, I’ve had enough of Facebook. Don’t like my use of ad blocker? Too bad…
It’s an arms race at this point.

Unclezip, that article has one of the all-time great headlines (as well as interesting info on how some of the counter-tactics are being done):
