Little late, but I just learned about this now (H/T JB): Today only, Amazon is giving an $8.63 coupon for most (not quite all) orders over $50. Check. It. Out!
And of course you know which link to use when you enter Amazon to make that purchase.
Seems Amazon is also about to start offering some better free-shipping options for non-Prime members. Good stuff.
Wondering when Amazon would make better shipping deals for non prime members. Since wal*mart has started to offer free two day shipping.
Had some stuff to order, so you should see a peculiar mix in your next summary.
If you’re prime, Amazon has also started offering $5 towards Amazon Pantry if you choose the slowest shipping method for orders that qualify.
Thank you, Bear! Although it appears not many people took advantage of Amazon’s offer, I did indeed notice a diverse and interesting selection of purchases yesterday. You’re always up to something creative. 🙂
ellendra — Yeah, that’s a good thing, too. Prime Pantry is already a great thing for people who live in small towns and can’t easily get low prices on groceries and related items, but the shipping charges always bugged me, even though they’re low. So that offer helps.
I was originally given Prime as a gift. I’ve kept it even though at times it feels indulgent. But with just three or four Prime Pantry grocery orders a year, I can almost recoup the Prime membership. And that’s without even considering all the other shipping, movie streaming, and such.
I find you have to be careful in selecting pantry items, though. Sometimes the deals are spectacular. Occasionally they’re either so-so or downright ripoffs. Check sizes, prices, quantities, etc., though, and the deals are good.
