  • Hilarious. And oh so true: “Please, God, stop Chelsea Clinton from whatever she is doing.”
  • For general edification and wonderment, here’s a blog about dictatorship and resistance in Venezuela. (H/T M)
  • University officials tell a fraternity their planned event is appropriating someone else’s culture. But they refuse to state which culture.
  • It’s definitely beginning to appear that the most elite colleges today are primarily teaching illiteracy and self-righteousness. As a former blue-collar kid, it completely hacks me to hear students at pricey private schools whine and rant about how oppressed they are. As a sensible person, I wonder when parents are going to start yanking the budgets for this sort of “education.”
  • Well, now. There’s a bit of good news. The Supreme Court confirms that a state can’t make you prove your innocence.
  • Another fine job by the TSA. Not to mention another act of brilliance by an off-duty cop. (H/T MJR)
  • Build a $400 internet-connected juicer and Silicon Valley venture capitalists will beat a path to your door. The problem comes when customers learn they could squeeze your pre-packaged juice mixes just as well by hand.
  • “Why I sing.” (Which could as easily be “why I dance” or “why I paint” or even “why I meditate”).
  • Love it. Artist Ken Bailey depicts dogs and cats in the form of made-up old-timey advertising posters.
  • While some of these places charge as much for a night as I make in a year, these are still my idea of what a bathtub ought to be.

Re Your Idea of what a Bathtub ought to be.
Would think having an outside bathtub in our area would be profoundly uncomfortable most of the year, wouldn’t it ?????
But maybe your hardier than I am

Um … Yeah. Good point, jordanms. So let me amend that to say that those are my perfect idea of a bathtub — and that the perfect bathtub is probably located in Tahiti. 🙂

But here in the PNW, I sure wouldn’t mind a bathtub under a tempered glass ceiling and next to a tempered glass wall. Looking out on a lovely forested vista. Preferably with a waterfall in the view.

Like many news stories, Venezuela has been kept off the front page by TPTB, surprising given the ultra failed Marxists, Dk why. We have an acquaintance there and says it is truly WROL.

I suppose it’s perverse for a libertarian, but I actually prefer dogs rendered in the old Communist poster style: http://www.cafepress.com/dogs_of_war

I still have an “Obey the Border Collie” T-shirt, though alas, the border collie passed away some years ago.

    And no people looking back.
Of course, I’m a shower type, so I may be missing the idea.

Asking why I sing is like asking why I eat. My body requires nourishment to function, and so does my soul. And writing nourishes my mind.

Never mind squeezing it yourself, what the heck does the Juicero internet connection do? Can I tell my phone to get the juice-pack out of the refrigerator and load it in the gizmo? Can my laptop hand me the glass of juice?

Saw that piece on Chelsea. I wish I could find it humorous. Instead, I see yet more blatant evidence of the mindless pandering of the mainstream media and the left to the exalted personae of the Clintons. $600K/yr? The society in which we live has some amazingly warped sense of value.

And a hot bath outside in cool, or even cold weather, can be quite enjoyable. Think someplace like Strawberry Hot Springs. Get nekkid outdoors!

Venezuela is well on its way to substitute an asshole of a dictator with a charming one.
Stop thinking Maduro is the problem, the system is the one starving the country and it ain’t going nowhere soon.
