Not much blogitude today. Some links, though.

First it’s off to the doctor to get results of last week’s tests. Then I spend the rest of the day repaying a friend for an even bigger favor she did me last year.

So I leave you with a few links and will probably have more to say tomorrow.

    Also, wow, the comments in that article about the scardycat congressvermin are virulent.

    I hope the blood test finds what’s been ailing you, Claire, and that it isn’t anything serious. I’ll keep you in my prayers.

    Good luck Claire, I hope the results you get are what you wanted.

    The Photo app article is behind a registration wall, pretty funny conceptually for an article about online privacy.

    If computers are driving the car, there’s simply no way human minds are going to stay alert enough to intervene faster than a computer can screw up.

    TANSTAAFL. Internet services cost money, too. Either pay a fee, donate, or let them sell your information.

    And members of Congress aren’t allowed to carry around their licensed concealed guns while in Washington, taking away one option to defend themselves.
    Um. They’re the ones who can fix that.
    Agreed, Joel, comments on that article are vile. It’s Drudge. We read some so you don’t have to.

    Results are good things – they give you a place to start or eliminate worries. Hope all is well.

    Heard this on the radio: the American Medical Association is taking on gun violence, calling it a public health crisis, and is advocating the banning of assault rifles, raising the age to buy guns and ammo to 21, is against arming teachers, etc., the whole anti-gun agenda.

    But, what is the third leading cause of death in the U,S.? It’s not guns, it’s doctors (specifically, medical errors). The saying “Physician, heal thyself” comes to mind.

    (Not trying to raise your anxiety level, Claire, with reference to this.}

    Now, Noah, you know that if God allows bad things to happen to good people, it’s all a part of His mysterious but benevolent plan which we frail humans are incapable of understanding. Whereas if the Devil allows bad things to happen to good people it’s evil working to destroy humankind and we fallible humans must pray that evil will be opposed by Divine Intervention.

    I’m about an hour from New Canaan. The excuses for banning For Sale signe are all no more than excuses, and fool nobody. That side of the state has home prices rivaling SoCal, and they’re simply afraid that their home prices will fall due to so many people fleeing Connecticut. But between the 2nd highest taxes in the nation, liberals bankrupting the state, and an increasingly intrusive Nanny State, residents who can get out are all making the move. So, what will New Canaan ban to hide the increasing number of vacant homes?
