    Once upon a time I cared a lot more about the Bill of Rights than I do now. Now I don’t care about any government documents, even those which were supposed to restrain government. It never works. I’ll celebrate by doing what I want (and since I don’t want to archate, there will be no problem).

    I read through them again. Good stuff. We were so lucky to have those old white males back then. Too bad the BoR is getting like Ava.

    I missed it and didn’t know but I would like to share my favorite of the lot;


    “The enumeration in the Constitution of certain rights shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people”

    To me that one sums it all up. Some of the founders opposed a BOR because they didn’t want to say we had certain rights with the fear of not covering them all. So #9 points outs that the BOR outlines a few but not them all. The founders understood government is here for one thing primarily and that is to protect our rights but today there are so many that think the state gives and thus can take away our rights.

    IMHO the BOR has not failed we the people it is we the people that have failed the BOR and the protection of those rights.
