Greetings, readers and friends.
I’m back from four glorious days at the shore, where Mother Nature favored the land with near-summerlike weather and I enjoyed walking, snacking, and feeding seagulls on the beach. More perfect weather and a more perfect time you could not imagine. It could only have been improved had I had a doting lover peeling grapes for me as we lounged on the sand.
But one can’t have everything, I suppose.

Anyhow, I didn’t think of computers or political matters for days. It was sublime, but now reality beckons.
Home, my next job is setting up the new computers (thank you, M) and rescuing data off the crashed hard drive (courtesy of IT gurus M, J, and C).
It’s going to be a few days before I’m back up to what I hope is my standard brilliance adequacy. But I expect to have a longer, deeper, harder (OMG, did I really say that?) blog post for you on Friday or Saturday.
Claire, Claire, Claire. There are much better uses for a doting lover than peeling grapes at the beach.
(And beach sand is a vastly overrated venue for such.)
If you pick the right doter, you can peel your own grapes and gaze adoringly while he sets up your computers.
Glad to see that reports of your death were grossly exaggerated.
Well, Claire, it definitely sounds as if you were thinking about that doting lover perhaps a bit more than your first paragraph indicated… 😉
Glad you got some much needed R&R and seem so refreshed from it! There is nothing like time away from the modern, spent in the natural to buoy one’s soul, in my opinion.
I’m excited!
Is peeling grapes actually a thing? duckduckgo… Gasp! Learn something new every day, and more frequently around Claire!
