And for your amusement:
Klintonerdämmerung, aka behind the scenes at Chapaqua. (Tip o’ hat to BW)
And watch a pair of pups grow up. That one on the left really needs a carpet to run on.

I’m wondering if the kidnap victims ever made any efforts to produce barriers to intruders… or if they even bothered to lock their doors. I can guarantee you that anyone trying to break into my home would have to make enough noise to wake the dead – as well as the deaf… and deal with a barking dog for a few moments until I got upstairs with the gun. I suspect the intruders would then be making new plans fast… if they made it out the broken door.
I can’t really sympathize much with people who insist on being helpless victims… or so careless with newfangled technology. Use it, of course, but don’t ignore the good old fashioned LOW tech stuff like deadbolts and dogs. 🙂 And yes, Laddie now barks at strangers… most of the time.
The kidnapper’s behavior confuses me, with the apologies and then another attempt. Perhaps it confuses him as well. I half wonder if he wanted to get caught.

But Wait! Don’t all the “studies” keep showing all the guns are owned by a few fat, bitter, gray-haired white males?
OTOH I attended the county 4-H awards banquet Saturday night. Amazing how many of the 9 to 17-year-old boys and girls won awards for all kinds of shooting sports, along with numerous other programs from agriculture to robotics. They were a long way from gray hair.
