Lessee … First you give the kids a day off from school … then you provide transportation to an anti-gun rally at $100,000 worth of city taxpayer expense … and you have a “grassroots” movement. Such a deal!
I hope the suckers who fund the schools in Baltimore sue over this.
All around the country Bloombergians, Hollywood stars, and hoplophobic, rights-hating others are laboring away to manufacture a dramatic children’s crusade against freedom.
Today’s rallies and another proposed round in April involve skipping school. Hey, what student wouldn’t go for that? Guns? Who cares? We can ditch algebra!
Then there’s the one giant March for Our Lives rally in Mordor. That’s on a Saturday and is apparently the one the Baltimore government is spending stolen money to promote. It’s also being boosted by every anti-gun gang and celeb in the known universe. Bloomberg, Giffords, and … wait … Planned Parenthood???
Such grassroots! Much authentic!
I wonder how it would turn out if the rallies in this vast, nationwide childrens’ crusade were a) either planned by the kids themselves or b) all held after school hours? I wonder why nobody’s having rallies to protest police indifference to the lives of teenagers. (No, I don’t actually wonder that.) I wonder how many of the kids or adults involved know thing one about firearms. So many questions …
BTW, Lyft is offering free rides to anti-gun rallies, too. At least they’re not sticking taxpayers with the tab. But I think that tells you which ride-hailing company to use next time. (Not that there’s one that’s not steeped in its own bizarre agenda. Sigh.)

One thing about guns?
Guns are bad, children. Mm’K?
(My apologies to the South Park folks)
If even one-fourth the number of protesters gathered in the name of self-defense, guess what would be the reaction by the media and Authority?
I wonder if the laws concocted (such as not to rush in but wait for backup) are not deliberate. The more anguish, loss, and fear, the more call for gun laws.
“It’s Walkout Day!
Today, all across the country, students will march out of their classrooms in order to . . . something. Presumably, they’re protesting violence with guns, which is somewhat like protesting violence with hands: both of those things are quite horrible, but unless you have some sort of solutions, you’re merely posturing.
Which is, of course, the point.
This walkout is all about posturing. It’s not about change any more than the Women’s March was about change. Attendees at the Women’s March had a bevy of clashing agendas, none of which materialized into a program for change; the only point of the Women’s March was to label those who didn’t support the march enemies of women. Now it’s the Children’s March, designed toward the same end.
Advocates for this new march say that there is an agenda: gun control. But that’s not the real heart of the march. Students feel compelled to walk out by peer pressure, lest they be labeled uncaring about their fellow students. I’ve received dozens of letters from students expressing exactly this concern, and wondering why only one side of the political agenda is being handed credibility by the media.
Here are some of them:

Seems like a conspiracy to deprive me of my civil rights.
Yup, it was all astroturfed showing that the authoritarian, virtue signalling gun grabbers not only dance on the bodies of the victims of these shootings to advance their agenda, they gleefully use impressionable children!
Useful idiots for anti-liberty bigots.
