Hooray for Wyoming

In a move that was a long time coming, Wyoming just became the fourth state to infringe less on people’s right to carry concealed weapons. Congrats to all who worked so long for this.

And — no surprise — a big BOO to Brady bunch spokesthing Paul Helmke, who managed to take the non-sequitur, straw-man, and post hoc ergo propter hoc logical fallacies to new lows:

Helmke noted Arizona was the most recent state to allow concealed carry without a permit. And he noted that a man has been charged in the Jan. 8 shooting that killed six people at a congressional meet-and-greet Jan. 8 outside a Tucson supermarket. Thirteen other people were wounded including U.S. Rep. Gabrielle Giffords.

Thanks for being patient while I took a mental health/hooky day yesterday! It was great. Among other things, by driving an hour inland, I drove away from a storm and into placid, pleasant sunshiney shirtsleeve weather. Yahoo! Spring will come again.

well I’m absolutely “convinced” if we only had some chicago/new york type handgun control nonsense baby wack-job fester would never have been able to shoot those people…never let a “crisis” go to waste……………..glad you had a nice day off!

“Mental health” days can be the best investment for creativity.

Hope your Hooky Day wasn’t to expensive…..:)

We use to lament that anytime we stepped out the door we seemed to spend (at least) $20 no matter what we’d do, no matter how hard we tried not to…..
