- Okay, we’ve all heard the flap about IKEA. But should we tear our hair over America’s third-world status or cheer along with the politicians for “job creation”?
- “Is sugar toxic?” A very long NY Times article with very good analysis. But geez, guy. Give your kids a cookie now and then; it’s not gonna kill ’em.
Even water can be toxic. Its all in the dosage.

Anyway, there’s a piece up on LewRockwell.com that points out exactly why a lot of people in rural areas have such a strong distrust of government: http://www.lewrockwell.com/blog/lewrw/archives/85532.html. Walter Rodgers seems to have no clue that people in rural areas (and for that matter, in surburban and urban areas too) resent being forced to pay the salaries of people who try to make them miserable and put their lives in danger.
Exactly. A cookie or a burger every now and again isn’t going to kill you,just don’t get too happy with it. I think worrying over some of these food scares is worse for you than eating the stuff..
Regarding the Ikea article:

Amazon does the very same thing….and during peak times that percentage is reversed – more temps than regular payroll workers….(I know this cuz I was one of them, a few times)…..
