Queen of the Hooligan Libertarians???

That may be the nicest thing anyone’s ever said about me. Thank you, Neil. 🙂

I may adopt that as a tagline — although I think Kent McManigal has first dibs on the “hooligan libertarian” phrase.

Be that as it may, the actual topic at that first link is Sandy Sandfort’s effort to find team members to build a smartphone app for people who care about gun rights. And although commentors have made some good suggestions, nobody has stepped up yet to volunteer for the development team.

C’mon, I know there’s plenty of techie talent out there in the pro-gun world. So please join the effort or pass the word to others who might.

I stole the phrase from L. Neil. If any dibs exist, they are his.

Where is the sign-up sheet and how do you plan for everyone to collude? I’m sure I could help out with something.

You should adopt it. When a man goes to the trouble of talking dirty to you in a most intimate (but literary) way, you need to respond with the pride by using it. It fits nicely.

Standard Mischief — I think you’ve just found the sign-up sheet. If the email address with your comment is a real one, I can pass it along to Sandy, with my thanks. (Let me know.)

If it’s not real, you can send your working email address to me at the special addy set up for contacts: boycottapp at hermit dot cotse dot net.

Kent … Ahhh. I didn’t know. Now I can steal the phrase in good conscience, just by attributing it to Neil as a quote. 🙂

EN — That’s talking dirty? You must live a sheltered life. Point well-taken, though.

Metaphorically speaking. And yes, I do live a sheltered life.

I had two people ask me recently if I had a QR Code…….(yes, I had to look it up)……

I suspect it will be the next tattoo fad, most likely on foreheads…..

If there aren’t enough volunteers with programming experience to create that app, might there at least be enough people willing to pre-purchase that it could be made by hiring freelancers at one of the many freelancing websites?

I never thought of you as a hooligan but I like the idea. I tend to think of hooligans as those scary looking British soccer fans but runaway police states could use some creative hooliganism.

If this app is launched it could make me get a smart phone. I’d pay for it. I think there is a real market for it. It could expand way beyond gun issues. If someone bought the app and paid for updates they could check for hot button issues, gun rights, save the whales, save the nukes, whatever.

I(‘d bet this would get banned from the Apple app store. They have always had an arbitrary and murky attitude to apps but iphone users could learn about ‘jail breaking’ to get the app.
