Three commercial announcements, actually (though the third isn’t strictly commercial because there’s no money involved).
1. David Hardy’s new book: a must-read
Once in a long, long while you’ll hear about a book and realize instantly, based on subject and author alone, that such a book really, really needed writing. (If you’re a writer, you might even think to yourself, “Damn, why didn’t I get that idea first?”)
In this case, attorney and noted gun-rights activist David Hardy got the sad-but-brilliant concept. He wrote I’m from the Government and I’m Here to Kill You, which is now available for pre-order on Amazon.
David Codrea introduced it to the world the other day and his reasons for recommending it sight-unseen are also mine:
with some authors, I have confidence and faith based on past experience. So I’d like to start the buzz on this immediately, to prime gun owner rights advocates to be ready for the release by learning about the book now.
2. Front Sight certificates (and upgrades) are still available
Just a reminder that Front Sight certificates (and upgrades that can’t be publicly advertised) are still available to benefit this blog — and anybody wanting top-notch firearms training.
A generous reader offered these in June and his offer still stands. In a day or two I’ll be putting a link in the sidebar so it’ll be in sight and hopefully more in mind.
2. Claire’s Cabal membership is now free
Another “just a reminder.” Memberships in the Claire’s Cabal discussion forums are now free. Our aim is still to have a friendly, troll-free place to talk, so we’re using a simple questionnaire to get to know potential Cabalistas. But there are no fees for active participants.
So if you’d like to have a look, c’mon down.

Hardy’s book looks very interesting; I have pre-ordered it. I am already aware of most of the incidents he cites (listed both in the squib and in the Table of Contents, to which Cordrea kindly links in his review), but as a former lawyer I am especially interested in his legal analysis as well as his policy prescriptions. I look forward to reading it. Thanks for the heads-up!
