I haven’t done more than blog a mention of the Cheyenne Irish case because facts seemed too thin. But obviously it was malicious and outrageous to cite the parents’ involvement with Oath Keepers as one reason to grab the newborn. That was just plain creepy.
Well, after a rousing few days on the Internet and an eloquent response from Oath Keepers, baby Cheyenne is home.
Thank you, -T for the word and the link to this good (if sometimes acrimonious) discussion.
Will Grigg as usual, has some tragically good things to say about this case and similar ones.
What were the “child protectors” thinking? Maybe Cheyenne’s father is a double-dyed bastard or a dangerous mental case; I don’t know. Nobody’s offered any real evidence, let alone solid proof. But that’s the father. Do they imagine that ripping a newborn from her mother’s arms, preventing bonding and inflicting potentially life-long insecurity and maladjustment is an act of kindness?

Do they imagine that ripping a newborn from her mothers arms, preventing bonding and inflicting potentially life-long insecurity and maladjustment is an act of kindness?
Understanding, of course, the rhetorical nature of the question, allow me to provide a rhetorical answer:
No, Claire, they simply don’t care.
Gone are the days when peace officers did exactly that… protected the peace and the general public. As Billy Beck pointed out, these were men and women armed first with reason, then whatever weapons necessary to do the job. Most officers are now interested in exactly two things: Going home at the end of the shift and making certain their retirement remains intact. The local gendarmes, once known for taking drunk drivers home with a stern warning to sober up before retrieving their car, have been replaced by Lon Horiuchi.
Do as you’re told, mother******… they don’t need no warrant.
sickening as this is,its actually much worse than it appears………..
wanna-be horiuchis, that is…
