The shooter was a left-wing anti-gunner

Or so it appears. The kid who used his “deadly assault shotgun” at school this week in Colorado, Karl Pierson, sneered at the free market and believed that the R-party supported “gun violence.” “I was wondering to all the neoclassicals and neoliberals, why isn’t the market correcting itself?” he wrote. “If the invisible hand is so strong, shouldn’t it be able to overpower regulations?” Pierson also appears to mock Republicans on another Facebook post, writing “you republicans are so cute” and posting an image that reads: “The Republican Party: Health Care: Let ’em Die, Climate Change: Let ’em Die, Gun…

Puppycide documentary: last day

Oz Media has met and exceeded its Kickstarter campaign goal. They’re 110% funded for a half-hour production. The Puppycide documentary will be made. (Assuming the Oz folks are as good as their word and a meteor doesn’t smack the earth. Or whatever.) AND there’s lots of cool swag for project backers. Just 10 hours to go on the campaign in case you’re interested.

“Acing the background check.” Bazillions for “security,” entourages, cavalcades, vast theaters of protective deception … and they stick Obama 18 inches away from a crazy accused murderer. (If you’re thinking what I think some of you may be thinking, please don’t say it out loud. It wouldn’t have helped a bit.) Tax people for working. Subsidize them for not working. And anybody less “brilliant” than Obama (or any typical congressthing) understands that you turn working poor into non-working poor. Forgive me for not remembering who deserves the hat tip for this, but it’s one of those stories a dog lover…

Amazed. Delighted. So proud.

Something amazing happened this morning. If you read Joel’s blog you already know about it. The people who did it don’t want their names published. I know who they are, though. They’re long-time readers and supporters of this blog. Long-time encouragers of me. And now big-time heroes to Joel. And what they did for Joel is simply typical of what they do. I know of many more acts of kindness on their part, some in the freedomista world, some not. They are people who give of themselves, as well as giving of their hard-earned resources. And hard-earned is the word.…

Christmas shopping with freedomistas

Not Amazon stuff. I have NO financial interest in either of these. But if you’re looking for more good things for yourself or a giftee, don’t forget: Hi Mountain Seasonings — jerky and sausage making kits (and equipment). Delicious and high quality. And First Freedom Outlaw Brigade Store on Zazzle. Mugs, mouse pads, tee-shirts, hoodies and more for every Outlaw Ghost, Mole, or Agitator on your list. (Love the art, too!) Both are owned by freedomistas who are major, long-time supporters of this blog.

If you read nothing else today read “Things Not to Do” from the Raconteur Report. Then for heaven’s sake, don’t do them! ‘Cause you know, if you did, you might be an Outlaw. (Big tip o’ hat to someone who doesn’t want a H/T. I believe this also came via WRSA) People of goodwill. As opposed to politicians. In the year of Edward Snowden, Time’s Man of the Year is the pope??? More evidence of why the MSM is dying of cluelessness. First time I ever saw verification that anything labeled “organic” is is actually healthier. Makes sense here, though.…

Just what we need: a drone that hijacks other drones. (H/T MJR) “I love my guns.” MamaLiberty explains. This creepy-wierd logo was all over the Internet last week. I ignored it, figuring it was just some joker’s parody of government spies. But nooooooo. It’s what actual government spies think of themselves … and us. The German’s don’t have a word for it. Yet. But when they do, it’ll be Schottenfreude. 🙂 Long but good. Ryan Lizza of The New Yorker finally addresses the Big Question: Why the fedgov won’t rein in their spy agencies. And of course … dogs to…

Thank God we have these heroic TSA agents!

To save us from armed and dangerous … erm, sock monkey dolls. Seriously. Here you have it, my friends. The vast power and stunning grandeur of government, all summed up in one act. This is the thing we’re taught all our lives to revere. This is the thing that claims to defend us against the horrors of anarchy. This person, this deed — and millions more like them every day — are what makes the grand institution to which we are expected to bow in wonder and cowering obedience. This is the little man* behind the curtain of government. And…

Tyger Gilbert calendar

Tyger Gilbert is a freedomista and a superb photographer who specializes in nature and especially Arizona landscapes. He has long allowed widespread use of his images without a ton of strings. Now he’s published a gorgeous 2014 scenic calendar. He also has a recent book on the beauty of Arizona. NFI on my part. But he’s a good guy and this is good work, so if you’ve got somebody on your gift list …
