3 CommentsWell, this morning I’m off to the doctor, where we shall see what we shall see. I don’t expect to learn much today, but I’ll request that the clinic’s most discerning vampires taste my blood for anomalies. Then we shall see. The trouble will probably lie somewhere between, “It’s all in your head, dimwit” and worst-case. I’m not worried; just glad to be getting this done at last. Have I mentioned I hate doctors? (No offense, Dr. Jim. You’re different.) —– After the appointment, The Wandering Monk will wander by to work with me on a materials list for the…

Not being a grandpa or having pretty granddaughters, I’m giving it away. I’ll give it away at the end of the day this coming Wednesday, June 6. If I get multiple requests, they’ll go into a hat and I’ll draw the winner’s name. Want it? Let me know in comments. Please use a real email address (unless you know for sure I already have a working addy for you) so I’ll know how to find you.
9 CommentsWe made it. YOU made it fantastic. The fundraiser is now over and despite a couple of nail-biting weeks in the middle, it was a roaring success. Best ever. Beyond mere words. Number of donors: 65 — including five who donated twice, one who donated three times, and four or five suffering financial hardship who I didn’t think would be able to donate at all. Total donated: $6,088 in the regular fundraiser + an anonymous match of $5,200. Total: $11,288. Stunning. Largest donation: $5,200 — from Anonymous Wonderman, who had promised to match all other donations up to the original…
