Thank you, Mama Liberty. You really nailed the purpose of the book. UPDATE: First reviewS, actually. We also just got our first Amazon write-up — and it’s five stars! Thank you, Dave. The viewpoint of his review is quite different than ML’s, but he also not only writes a great review, but understands the book with wonderful clarity, just as she did. Thank you both.

Sometimes you need to say “no” to Big Brother
When LarryA submitted this graphic to the meme contest (now ended at the Cabal, though intriguing memes are still coming in), I first assumed that Robespierre’s Law was already a thing. It’s certainly a truth known to freedomistas everywhere, though both “left” and “right” remain oblivious to it. But no. Robespierre’s Law may be a well-known yet eternally disregarded truth, but Larry seems to be the first to have named it and memed it. I hope he does more with this. —– About the infamous Maximilien Robespierre: His Wikipedia entry; Robespierre and the Terror. The funny thing is, even today…
So much is happening so fast with Basics of Resistance (both versions). We owe big thanks: To Survivalblog and James Wesley, Rawles for putting us at the top of their recommendations list and giving the book an extra boost. To Western Rifle Shooters Association and Concerned American. I don’t always agree with CA, and the WRSA comment section should be marked “Here Be Dragons.” But CA has been a huge friend to the book, with his latest gift being another big boost yesterday. To Wendy McElroy who put us at the top of her News & Commentary page yesterday with…
The bad news: Amazon kicked back the paperback file on a technicality. The good news: The technicality was small, but the rejection gave Kit and me a chance to rethink the release of the printed book. So. Tomorrow — Wednesday, April 4 — you can place your order for the paperback of Basics of Resistance. Not your pre-order. Your order. UPDATE: See below. We’ve been absolutely thrilled by your response. We know a lot of you are awaiting the paperback. Because it’s print-on-demand it’ll probably take longer than a standard Amazon order (how much longer we don’t yet know) and…
She was a resistance leader, hunted by the Nazis. To survive and remain effective, she made herself invisible. Read the latest excerpt from Basics of Resistance — the story of the ultimate gray woman.
Kit and I have officially completed the book. She uploaded the paperback file to Amazon yesterday afternoon. May I utter a hearty “Whew!” and a “Whoo hoo!”? Release date is April 19 (same as the Kindle edition). I assume Amazon will allow pre-orders, but they don’t allow a special pre-order price on paperbacks. It’s a slender book, 150 pages, but absolutely packed with information. And you get the expertise of two for the price of one (plus the added expertise of those who helped us). I’ll let you know when the listing has gone live and Amazon is taking orders…
Good news for everybody awaiting the paperback of Basics of Resistance. Bad news for me, because after Kit uploaded the Kindle version, I was looking forward to a few days off before progressing to the paperback (which requires different formatting and several more rounds of checking and correcting). Kit made me WERK! instead. 🙁 She took us down to the wire. The paperback version should be ready for uploading after one more round. We don’t yet have a price or an exact release date, but you can expect it about the same time as the ebook. More good news: Although…
Well, well, well. Don’t ask me how it happened; I wasn’t there. But sometime today Amazon began taking pre-orders for Basics of Resistance and announced to the world that the book’s release date is April 1. It’s not. It’s April 19. But as of the moment I’m posting, Amazon still hasn’t updated and is still accepting pre-orders for the Kindle version. Dunno what you’ll find when you get there. But here’s an Amazon link you can use anywhere and share with your friends. And and here’s one of my Amazon links for use only at the blog. We thought the…
Basics of Resistance, which we hope (cross fingers) will be the first in a series called The Practical Freedomista, is DONE!!!! Kit Perez and I have been busting our buns to meet an Amazon deadline dictated by our planned pre-release and launch schedules. I’ve been editing; Kit’s been laying the book out for Kindle and inputting my changes. And she just uploaded it: This is Kit’s first book ever. It’s my first in … oh, how many years? Loooooong time. I’d forgotten what a hectic time those last few weeks could be. This is also my first self-published book, and…
Okay, enough of the weekend’s peace and beauty. A D-party candidate for sheriff of Buncombe County, NC, has advocated killing people who own “military style” weapons. (H/T SS) Granted, that’s Asheville, which one Twitterer called called “San Francisco east”. It’s one loudmouth trolling for v*tes. Maybe he’s desperate. Maybe he’ll say anything. Maybe his blather means nothing. Except as one more tick on the clock of our times. Still, it’s clearer by the minute that what the regressives can’t win by law and sheepish obedience they intend to seize by violence. (By, of course, their guys with military-style weapons.) We’re…
